We worked as the drone unit for Producciones Serrano on the live broadcast of the 2024 Caballos del Vino race, providing the aerial shots.

There are several things to get right when you run a UAS operation in a setting like this one: crowds, a live feed and a built-up area, as well as a TSA zone, that is, airspace temporarily segregated from air traffic.

Coordinating a flight in segregated airspace and a built-up area

Operating in segregated airspace and in a built-up area with crowds means reviewing the airspace restrictions, defining the operational scenario and handling whichever coordination or permit applies. It is the same work we do to fly in cities, near airports and in protected natural areas or defence zones: we explain it in drone flight permits and coordinations.

Equipment and live feed

We flew the DJI Mavic 3 Cine (C1 class, with a parachute) and the RC Pro feed reached the director through an HDMI-SDI converter, at up to 1920×1080: we explain it in drones for live events and broadcasts.
